Children, Accidents, Resuscitation & Emergencies - Care We offer two AT HOME classes on basic First Aid. Our trained Paediatric nurses will come to your home at a time and day that suits you and teach up to 6 people in the following: At Home with Basic Life Support: Would you know what to do if your child was choking or stopped breathing? Would your child's carers? This is a basic life support (BLS) class for parents, grandparents, babysitters, nannies and anyone else who looks after your child. Our trained paediatric nurses come to your home where they will teach basic life support for babies and children using resuscitation dolls appropriate to the ages of your children. The class takes two hours and by the end you will feel more confident of how to deal with an emergency involving your child. At Home with First Aid: One of the questions that frequently trouble parents and carers is whether their child is seriously ill or not. This seminar gives parents and carers an overview of the most common accidents and illnesses children experience including burns, falls, head injuries, bleeding, strains and sprains, poison, stings, and respiratory problems. The class first explains what to do to help and then presents a screening tool to assist parents and doctors in determining the likelihood of serious illness. The class runs for two hours. The cost per class is £240 for a maximum of 6 people. This works out at £35 per person.The class can be held during the evening, weekdays or weekends.
