Stairs are a real hazard for young children. They can fall from upstairs down or they can climb up a few stairs from below and then take a tumble. It is important, therefore, to put a stair gate at the top and the bottom of the stairs. They are also very useful in doorways which lead to unsuitable areas. There are many different types and it is often confusing to know which one might suit you best.
